John Hawks, Department of Anthropology, investigates human evolution in its morphological and genetic aspects. He has been applying genomic data from humans to explain changes in natural selection on human populations. Additionally, he has been active in researching the fate of Neandertals, including their genetic and morphological links to later populations.
