Spring 2009 ISyE Colloquium

The performance of a system is generally influenced by many factors, among which are uncontrollable ones also called risk factors. The impact of these factors must be taken into account when we examine a system for performance improvement. This talk presents a methodology for risk-adjusted performance monitoring in complex systems, particularly healthcare delivery systems.
