Description
Warren Beatty stars as a Detroit nightclub comic whose gambling debts make him believe he is the target of a vast underworld syndicate. With equal doses of Kafkaesque paranoia, French New Wave aesthetics and existential angst, the cult classic is Arthur Penn’s most ambitious and underrated. Never been issued on video or DVD, it features an improvised soundtrack by Jazz legend Stan Getz. (1965, 35mm, b/w, 93 min.) Preceded by Kenneth Anger’s camp classic "Kustom Kar Kommandos."
