DG Magwood will provide an overview of the key drivers that have encouraged countries around the world to pursue SMRs and what challenges lay ahead. He will focus on the technology development, institutional, economic, and regulatory issues that will determine whether these new technologies will prove successful. He will highlight the work that the NEA is doing to address these issues as well as the Agency’s efforts to support the education of the new generation of engineers and scientists.
