Virtual Talk: Native American Health Care — Overview of Policy & Considerations in Care

Christine Athmann MD, MHA, will present on healthcare disparities in Native/Indigenous populations. Dr. Athmann is a descendent of the White Earth tribe of Ojibwe and grew up on the White Earth Reservation in Northern Minnesota, where she was a patient and later trained within the Indian Health Service. Practicing family medicine with obstetrics at UW Health, she previously led the Native American Center for Health Professions at UW SMPH. She currently practices with Allina Health System in MN.
