2021 Design Studies Second Year MFA Exhibition: Henry Obeng and Nora Renick Rinehart

Design Studies MFA students Henry Obeng & Nora Renick Rinehart present new works for their 2nd Year MFA Exhibitions. Obeng’s "The Trail" connects his experiences as a surveilled non-citizen with plant specimens at the UW-Herbarium through 100s of cyanotype images on handmade paper made of recycled UW Badger T-shirts. Rinehart’s "Flannel Futures" features textile and printmaking work that operate within the fields of queer abstraction and queer futurism to explore the past, present, and future.
