In this talk, Rachel engages with Black studies scholars who deconstruct historical time as linear in order to discuss continuity and change between Black education, space, and capital in the U.S. South. She will discuss the significance of studying Black education in the South and illuminate how the analytic of palimpsestic time shapes her broader research agenda.
