Queer Data: Privacy and Historical Interpretation

How is information about the LGBTQ+ community used in research? Whose stories get told and who gets excluded? What control do queer people have over their own data and privacy? This panel will discuss ethical use and privacy of data, including large-scale AI research, small-scale historic research, and how libraries’ data collection impacts queer library users.
