The scope of a PhD project can often feel quite limited, so the PhD “supplemental” requirement allows students to broaden their horizons in exploring a different research topic and through gaining experiences working elsewhere. Please join us to hear four graduate students speak about the ways in which they broaden their PhD experiences through internships, summer schools and workshops, and even field campaigns.
