This lecture will discuss and evaluate a key accountability provision of the No Child Left Behind Act – the Supplemental Educational Services (SES) provision, a free after-school tutoring intervention for low-income students – in the context of Chicago Public Schools. Matthew Steinberg is a pre-doctoral fellow at the University of Chicago.
