Kawase Hasui Color Woodcuts

Kawase Hasui designed woodblock prints in early 20th century Japan. He captured images of traditional Japanese landscape and architecture, both threatened by 20th century urbanization. His prints were popular internationally and Hasui designed more than 600 during his long creative career.
