All University String Orchestra

Featured works include Brandenburg Concerto No. 2 by J.S. Bach and Bloch's Concerto Grosso for piano and string orchestra. Also performed will be two jazz arrangements by Martin Norgaard, "Passacaglia" by Handel/arr. Halvorsen and William Hofeldt's "Soaring Spirit," commissioned by Madison East High School in memory of cellist Trevor Knight. Other repertoire includes works by Aaron Copland and Leonard Bernstein arranged for string orchestra.
