Description
In this presentation, I reflect on the articulation between opinions on the vaccine and notions of freedom, bodily autonomy, and sovereignty in a postcolonial context. I also examine how debates about health governance have led to an increased opposition between the categories of biomedicine and natural remedies. Finally, I reflect on the tensions between marronage and integration a non-sovereign context.
