Wisconsin Union events are planned and executed by the student programming and leadership board, known as the Wisconsin Union Directorate (WUD). The committees are comprised of student leaders from across campus. All year round, WUD plans art exhibitions, live musical experiences, distinguished lectures, film screening, and even cuisine and painting workshops. Wisconsin Hoofers are planning four seasons of fun – from snowboarding in winter to sailing in summer.  Your investment in the Wisconsin Union will provide students and Union members a sense of community and belonging. The Wisconsin Union has acted as a connector and hub of student activity for the University of Wisconsin-Madison since 1907. The students serving as Wisconsin Union’s student leaders make this possible with diverse, high-quality programming that unifies students and the greater community. You can support student development and the betterment of the Wisconsin Union by making a gift today to the Student Leadership Endowment Fund. The endowment supports WUD Officers, Directors, and six Hoofer Club Presidents for their leadership and for upholding the spirit and traditions of UW-Madison.  Your gift will provide the Union’s student leaders a stipend to help with tuition, room and board, or books. Founded in recognition of the outstanding achievements in theater and the performing arts by UW Madison alumnus and Broadway living legend André De Shields, the André De Shields Fund supports UW-Madison undergraduate students of color (both arts and non-arts majors) who are historically underrepresented with the resources and platforms to develop, design, produce and/or perform artistic projects grounded in Theater and the performing arts. Your gift will signal that students of color belong in the Wisconsin Union Theater and the arts on campus. It will ensure students of color have access to opportunities denied to André De Shields and create a safe and welcoming environment for them to learn, develop, create, and perform on their college campus.
