Description
Since 2015, the UW Missing in Action Recovery and Identification Project has partnered with the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) to identify, recover, and repatriate the remains of missing American Armed Services Personnel from World War II. To date the project has helped bring three fallen heroes home to their families, establishing a reputation as DPAA's preeminent academic partner and a leader in multidisciplinary recovery efforts.
