Description
Renaissance wind band Piffaro pays homage to a world view held by philosophers and musicians from Greek antiquity through the Italian Renaissance: that terrestrial music was simply a reflection of the "harmony of the spheres" that ordered the celestial realm. Pre-concert lecture by John W. Barker at 6:30 p.m., "Below the Stars: Galileo's World."
