Field Day: Growing Hops for the Craft Brewing Market

Scott and Jody Alne, owners of Hoppertunity Gardens, a 2-acre hop yard, will discuss all things related to growing and marketing hops, and show equipment for harvesting, drying and baling. Topics will include drip irrigation, soil fertility, disease management and marketing. Guest speakers from UW-Madison, University of Minnesota, and the WI Hop Exchange. Local brewers will share their experience working with local, small scale growers.
