Latinx Studies in the Midwest and Beyond

Focus on Chicago, including the educational experiences of Puerto Ricans in that city, relations between Puerto Ricans and Palestinians, and migration and immigration to the city. Speakers include Mirelsie Velazquez (U Illinois Urbana-Champaign), Sara Awartani (U Michigan), and Maura Toro-Morn (Illinois State U). This event is part of the "Latinx Studies in the Midwest and Beyond" speaker series, supported by the Anonymous Fund, several departments, and LACIS.
