Description
The archaeological study of fiber and basketry from the Indus Tradition sites dating from 7000 to 1300 BCE will be discussed. Special focus will be on the discoveries at Mehrgarh, Harappa and Mohenjo daro. Although the data is very fragmentary the evidence indicates a robust tradition of basketry, fiber production and textiles.
