My study mainly discusses the differences between QBO phase binning methods and their sensitivities. The EOF method and the four-phase method are mainly discussed. Preliminary results suggest that the two transition phases (two shear phases) can enhance/weaken subtropical jets in the northern hemisphere. We anticipate even more intriguing results in the near future!
