Join the Wisconsin Union Directorate Distinguished Lecture Series Committee for "Reshaping Destiny: An Evening with Danny Trejo" on   Wednesday , March 20, at 7 p.m.   in Shannon Hall at Memorial Union. The one-hour moderated Q/A and 30-minute Audience Q&A session is free and open to students, staff, and the public. This is an in-person event. UW–Madison Student Presale:   Presale tickets go live on   February  26th at 2 p.m.   on   the Campus Arts Ticketing website . A promo code is required to access the student presale. The promo code will be included in a campus-wide email to @wisc.edu student email accounts on the morning of February 26. 

Note:  This ticket gives priority access to seating but does not guarantee a seat. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. to all ticketholders for general admission seating.  All ticket holders need to be seated by 6:45 p.m.  At that time any open seats will become available to non-ticket holders.

  Questions?  Please contact   dls@union.wisc.edu. About the Speaker Known for his work in films such as “Machete,” “Heat” and “Sky Kids,” Danny Trejo’s acting career spans over 40 years. The actor has also appeared in iconic TV series such as “Baywatch,” “Breaking Bad” and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” and has been a voice actor in films including “Storks” and “The Book of Life.”  After facing addiction and imprisonment at a young age, Trejo is also recognized for his ongoing advocacy for addiction recovery and sobriety, sharing his personal story in his New York Times-bestselling 2021 autobiography “My Life of Crime, Redemption and Hollywood.”  In addition to his work on the screen, Trejo started Trejo’s Tacos, a collection of Los Angeles-based restaurants providing inclusive food options, such as gluten-free and vegan, alongside traditional Mexican dishes. He is also the founder of Trejo’s Coffee & Donuts. Following the opening of his first restaurant in 2016, Trejo authored cookbooks “Trejo's Tacos: Recipes and Stories from L.A.” and “Trejo’s Cantina: Cocktails, Snacks, and Amazing Non-Alcoholic Drinks from the Heart of Hollywood.”
