Free and open to all, the Solomon Carter Fuller Brain Health Brunch builds awareness of Alzheimer’s disease in the African American community, a disease that is twice as common among African Americans than non-Hispanic whites. Dr. Lisa Barnes, the Alla V. and Solomon Jesmer professor of gerontology and geriatric medicine within the Department of Neurological Sciences at Rush University in Chicago, will present the keynote address.
