"Russian Independent Media Archive Project," a lecture by Ann Nemzer and Ilia Venyavkin

In this joint presentation, journalist Anna Nemzer and historian Ilia Venyavkin will discuss the work of the Russian Independent Media Archive — an initiative of PEN America and Bard College aimed at preserving the work of independent journalists from Russia since 2000, guarding this historical record against erasure as media outlets not aligned with the regime of President Vladimir Putin are shuttered and their reporters and editors are cast into exile.
