Fall 2024 Visiting Artist Colloquium

John Berry’s paintings are abstract suggestions of landscape that explore tensions between individual freedom and collective responsibility. In addition to formal and compositional considerations of these highly regulated spaces, he is interested in the ways in which they propose alternatives to how we organize our images, identities, and communities.
