Description
In this talk, Dr. Metin I. Eren will present his research on the efficacy of North American Ice Age Weaponry. Archaeologists have traditionally assumed Pleistocene-aged Clovis fluted stone points to be 'mammoth killers.' However, recent experimental findings, as well as ethnographic research, do not support that assumption. This new understanding of the Clovis point has ramifications for understanding the long-alleged human involvement in North American proboscidean extinctions.
