WUD-Art presents Bedfellows by Kate Forer Opening Reception

Exhibition dates: October 4 – November 15. Interested in themes of alienation, identity, commercialism, and bodies, Forer's work involves painting distorted figures onto soft sculptures which exist in-between states—comforting and unfamiliar, flat image and sculpture, inanimate and human, hand-made and mass-produced—and explore an isolated, object-oriented contemporary existence. Humor is an important part of their work, and is essential in managing the tension between the animate and the object
