Archaeology Brown Bag Lecture Series

Effigy mounds are among the best known & least understood aspects of Iowa’s cultural heritage. Luther College has been conducting geophysical remote sensing studies of the mounds as a means of rectifying this shortcoming. Geophysical techniques represent the best available means to provide new information on these sacred & rare archaeological sites.
