This presentation by Ms. Gul Kalash, the only woman from the Kalash community who has pursued archaeology and anthropology, will explore the challenges the Kalash face as their community encounters globalization and modern influences. Ms. Gul Kalash explores the impact of modernization on Kalash traditions, focusing on how external influences such as tourism, media, and economic development threaten to erode their cultural identity and practices.
