Teaching a Community-based Learning Course

Becky Rose has created and taught the environmental studies capstone class “Building Resilience to Heat” in which students learn about the physical and social dimensions of heat vulnerability and preparedness and assist state and community efforts to better understand the problem and support vulnerable populations in Wisconsin. At this session, we’ll talk over some key lessons learned, including details that can mean the difference between a project being a thought experiment or a widely distrib
