Description
Buñuel did not have the complete freedom he was later granted for his films, but he was able to inject some bizarre personal touches into the story of Archibaldo, whose adolescence was disturbed by the death of a maid in erotic circumstances. Now adult, he is destined to murder women, but Buñuel’s characteristic perverse black humor adds a twist which prevents him from fulfilling his desires. Buñuel, Mexico, 1955, 35mm, b/w, 89 min., subtitled.
