Badgervoltaics in Action: Agrivoltaics Research Station Opening this Summer

A potential solution to mitigate the tensions around solar energy development on agricultural land is the concept of “agrivoltaics,” or the dual use of land for solar energy and agricultural production. In summer 2025, UW-Madison will open the first agrivoltaics research site in Wisconsin at the Kegonsa Research Campus. In this presentation, members of the Badgervoltaics community at UW-Madison will provide background on agrivoltaics and discuss the design and research goals of the Kegonsa site.
