Description
The talk explores the work of a public humanities folklorist, particularly in facilitating meetings and collaborations between Sámi artists, activists, and educators and their Indigenous counterparts in Wisconsin. It will outline how "action research" can work, particularly in communities striving to decolonize, and the role that universities need to play in reversing the corrosive processes of colonization, past and present.
