Description
Walleye are culturally, ecologically, and recreationally important throughout much of their range. In Wisconsin, walleye is one of the most-sought sport fish and in the Ceded Territory, support a mixed fishery consisting of a tribal spear fishery and a recreational hook-and-line fishery. Dan Dembkowski, a research scientist with the Wisconsin Cooperative Fishery Research Unit at UW-Stevens Point, will share what fisheries professionals have learned about walleye from over a decade of research.
