Description
Dr. Maha Nassar explores a century of Palestinian student activism, highlighting how students worldwide—many of them women—used the concept of ṣumūd to challenge Western views of Palestine. She examines internal debates among students on liberation strategies and links their efforts to broader questions about higher education’s global role. Nassar is a professor at the University of Arizona. Her current project focuses on Palestinian youth history.
