Description
Dr. Kate Phelps will share her expertise of body politics and fat studies. A short performance by local performer, Anita Spanx, will illustrate the themes of the lecture. Dr. Kate’s lecture, in addition to Anita Spanx’s performance, will educate attendees on issues surrounding bodies, sexuality, and accessibility. The goal for this event is for attendees to leave feeling empowered in their own bodies and critically thinking about the role of bodies and sexuality in society.
