Ian Cornejo, AOS graduate student, will defend his PhD thesis and examine extreme rainfall through an ingredients-based framework using observations from the NSF-funded 2022 Prediction of Rainfall Extremes Campaign in the Pacific (PRECIP) in northern Taiwan, combining advanced radar analysis, in situ measurements, and high-resolution modeling.
