Fr. Vincent McNabb, O.P. (1868-1943) is known for rooting the economic theory of distributism in Catholic social teaching and for his foundational contributions to modern agrarianism and the Catholic Land Movement. This talk will highlight the reemerging interest in the Catholic Land Movement while maintaining that McNabb’s influence is grounded within the public preaching mission, intellectual traditions, and charism of the Dominican Order.
