Abdel Razzaq Takriti is Associate Professor of History & the Arab-American Educational Foundation Chair in Arab Studies at Rice University. He is a historian of anticolonialism, revolutions, intellectual & political currents, and state formation in the modern Arab world. He has published extensively in edited volumes & major scholarly journals such as the American Historical Review & Radical History Review. Professor Takriti received his doctorate from St Antony’s College, University of Oxford.
