An Unusual Moravian Diary

Virtual Lecture with Paul Peucker

Description
Members of the Moravian Church (Brethren) were among the earliest German-speaking settlers in the American colonies. This presentation is anchored in a unique document: a diary of the Moravian synod for single Brethren, held in London in December 1752 and January 1753. Join us and Dr. Peucker as he explores the history of the Moravians and examines the diary itself—who these men were, the topics they discussed in London, and why this source remains relevant today.
