Description
Frank Lloyd Wright’s 1916 Bogk House marked a shift in his work as he explored ornament inspired by non‑Western sources. Frederick and Katherine Bogk, rising German American Milwaukeeans, gave him the chance to experiment. Based on new archival research, this talk situates the house within Wright’s Milwaukee, Midwestern, and global networks and sheds light on a puzzling phase in his career.
