Gender Dimensions of the Global Financial Crisis

Diane Elson, University of Essex, conducts research focusing on global social change and human rights, with focus on gender inequality and economic rights. Elson has served as a member of the U.N. Millennium Project Taskforce on Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment, as vice-president of the International Association for Feminist Economics, and special adviser to the executive director of the United Nations Development Fund for Women.
