Description
The Spine Stealers make spooky folk inspired by dark lakes, brain-burned nostalgia and a melancholic hue. The band grew from the duo of Kate Ruland and Emma O’Shea, who learned guitar together during the height of the pandemic and began sewing songs together with old college poetry. After their first open mic in the beginning of July of 2022, they played their first show at the end of July, which led them to a whirlwind first year as a duo. Sisters Julia (Vocals and Guitar) and Esmé Eubanks (Bass), Jack Malone (Drums), and Cole Benson (Guitar) balance grittiness and prettiness to conjure a world of nostalgia and youth, drawing inspiration from '90s Pacific Northwest grunge. Formerly “creeping charlie,”Agnes Uncaged has received attention across the Midwest for their guitar-driven, cinematic indie rock. Eubanks was hailed as “one of the Twin Cities most promising young songwriters” by critic Chris Riemenschneider and the group lead First Avenue’s Best New Bands of 2022. Maximiano opens.
