Carla Calargé, Professor of French and Francophone Studies at Florida Atlantic University, examines how contemporary Lebanese graphic novels mobilize Beirut’s urban landscape to engage with war, memory, neoliberal reconstruction, and the succession of national disasters that have marked Lebanon’s recent history.
