								Paul Craddock, Emeritus, of the British Museum will be speaking on metallurgy in South Asia. This lecture, as well as describing ancient  mining and smelting operations, will also attempt to address how misunderstandings about mining operations arose as well as why India’s sophisticated mines and smelters succumbed to European imports.
