Description
This talk argues that the real fault line in digital media isn't left versus right, but the gap between the politically engaged and the politically indifferent. It will trace this divide across two levels: at the consumption level and at the production level. These findings show how platform features and institutional choices can sustain polarization, even when most audiences aren't actively engaged with politics.
