Have you wondered what the differences is between different version control systems? Why do you need to access the GitHub or GitLab webpage for some things while using command line "git" call for others? Matthew Christie, a UW Research Software Engineer with the Global Land Use and Environment (GLUE) Lab will walk through the differences between git, GitHub and GitLab, paying special attention to each of their places on campus for research use.
