This talk by PhD candidate Qiong Wu of William & Mary will highlight how early American merchants strategically leveraged their knowledge network and resources to secure a prominent foothold in a fluid global market following American independence. Wu's presentation will be the second webinar in the 'Teaching the World with WIRC" series, which has the theme "The World in 1776" and is aimed at K-14 educators and librarians interested in integrating global perspectives into their curriculum.
