Description
Professor Matthew Hannah, a professor of digital studies in the Department of Communication Arts and Director of the Digital Scholarship Hub in the UW–Madison Libraries, will lead this talk. Through his research on QAnon, and other political conspiracy theories, Professor Hannah has uncovered the philosophy behind popular conspiracy theories and their underlying causes. From pizzagate to the deep state to bloodsucking democrats, Professor Hannah will discuss the history of these conspiracy theories, and how we understand those who believe in these theories.
