Description
The program features the world premiere of "Collage" by John Stevens, WBQ's tubist, and three works by Shostakovich adapted by Stevens for brass quintet: "Elegy" from the opera "Lady Macbeth," "String Quartet No. 6" and the polka from the ballet "The Age of Gold." In addition, the quintet performs a suite of early music by Johann Joseph Fux arranged by Verne Reynolds.
