Stonewall: Myth History and Symbol

The Stonewall Riots of June 27, 1969, galvanized gays into fighting oppression and helped spark the modern LGBTQ mass movement. UW-Madison alumnus David Carter, author of "Stonewall: The Riots That Sparked the Gay Revolution," is basis for the new film from PBS’s American Experience series.
