The Stonewall Riots of June 27, 1969, galvanized gays into fighting oppression and helped spark the modern LGBTQ mass movement. UW-Madison alumnus David Carter, author of "Stonewall: The Riots That Sparked the Gay Revolution," is basis for the new film from PBS’s American Experience series. Carter will also discuss his Madison activism during the 1970s and 1980s. Sponsored by the LGBTQ Campus Center.
